Stop trying so hard, I love you!

You are my child, my precious son/daughter
Nothing you’ll ever do or say
can change my love for you.
YOU are MY child, MY precious son/daughter

Why are you trying to earn my love?
When love already has been given you?

To earth I sent My one and only Son
Everything that could ever separate us
he took upon the cross and paid your penalty
Because I love you, I sent My one and only Son to die

Why are you trying to earn my forgiveness?
When forgiveness already has been given you?

What Jesus had to go through
all that He had to suffer in deep pain
in darkness and separation from me
was because of my love for you

Why are you trying to earn my power?
When power already has been given you?

You are My precious child and I love you
The power that rose Christ from death
is the same power I let work through you
Because you are My precious, My beloved

Why are you trying to earn my favor?
When favor already has been given you?

All that I am the beholder of is yours
and all are freely given to you as a gift of grace
Stop trying to earn things and blessings from me
because you’ll never be able to accomplish that

Why are you trying to earn my provision?
When provision already has been given you?

Because of Jesus you are
My precious child, My beloved one
You already have freedom, forgiveness and grace
power, provision, favor and more than you’ll ever need.

Everything is because of Jesus
Everything I give you is because of Jesus
Everything I created you to be, you can be in Jesus
Everything is because of Jesus, freely given out of love

I loved you yesterday, I love you today
and tomorrow my love will still be
I’ve always loved you and always will
YOU ARE MINE AND I LOVE YOU
